The first day of the Leuven Innovation Camp for the DIGIWATER project kicked off with a keynote lecture by Prof. Patrick Willems from KU Leuven on water challenges in Flanders and Europe. Dr. ir. Vincent Wolfs from Sumaqua then presented on using AI for drought forecasting in the water sector. Participants were split into three groups for brainstorming on innovative solutions to digital technology’s role in addressing floods, water scarcity, and water quality issues.
