GREEN STEAM Project team organized and conducted the 1st Transnational Project Meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria. The partners discussed the implementation of the project and planned in detail the elaboration work on the Flipped training course and Toolkit & Flipped learning labs.

The project aims to make green transition skills and entrepreneurial spirit mainstream among female HE students in the STEAM field. The Green Steam project will develop innovative Flipped Training Courses, Hackathon, Open Learning Platform through which to equip female students in STEAM with entrepreneurial and green skills for the future through a flipped learning and design thinking approach.

The Green Steam project will develop an innovative flipped training courses and flipped learning labs for developing the following skills – digital, green, entrepreneurship, and social. It will be piloted with 250 students in the 5 partner countries. The impact analysis will be presented across key stakeholders to promote the Greеn Steam’s Open learning platform widely across the education system. The consortium will hold Hackathons in the partner countries.

The partnership includes 6 organizations from 5 countries. The team is lead by Химикотехнологичен и металургичен университет – София /ХТМУ/ from Bulgaria and combines the expertise of the partner organizations: Mindshift from Portugal, Business Foundation for Education/Фондация на бизнеса за образованието from Bulgaria, Akademia Humanistyczno-Ekonomiczna w Łodzi from Poland, Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου | University Of Cyprus from Cyprus and UnitelmaSapienza from Italy.

Today, the SEIT Lab had the pleasure of hosting 33 bright minds from Lykeio Idaliou as part of the EPSILON Erasmus+ project. 🎓🖥️

Here’s a glimpse of what went down:
1️⃣ We kicked off by showcasing the incredible work we do at the lab, unveiling projects like DigiRoot, Femstem, and CHILD. 💡

2️⃣ Next up, we delved into the fascinating world of data science, sparking curiosity and exploration among our eager participants. We even held an engaging workshop on Data Science, diving deeper into its principles and applications. 📊

3️⃣ Then, we embarked on a captivating tour of our university grounds, marveling at the stunning library and soaking in the rich academic atmosphere. 📚

4️⃣ Finally, we dove headfirst into the heart of our mission with the EPSILON project, immersing the students in the realm of Data Science for Good. They got hands-on experience with our innovative tools, providing valuable feedback and insights. 💻

On February 24th, our campus buzzed with energy as education students immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Computer Science! 🎓💻

🏫 University Exploration: Around 100-120 students explored the state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Cyprus, getting a glimpse of the incredible learning environment that awaits them if they choose to pursue Computer Science here. 🌐🔍

🤖 SEIT Lab Showcase: Our SEIT Lab proudly presented the cutting-edge work we do in the field of technology and innovation. 💡🔬 Students had the opportunity to see firsthand the exciting projects and research happening within our lab.

🌐 Erasmus+ Projects Unveiled:

1️⃣ BEE-In: 🐝 Aimed at enhancing the transfer of knowledge and technology in the field of beekeeping. 🍯🌼 A sweet blend of technology and nature!

2️⃣ Re-Think/Re-Act: 💭🔄 Focused on helping students develop and enhance their soft skills. Empowering the leaders of tomorrow! 👫🌟

3️⃣ GTUP: 🏃‍♀️🤸‍♀️ Encouraging sports participation and minimizing abandonment among girls and adolescents. Breaking barriers and fostering a love for sports from a young age! 🚺🎉

On February 26, SEIT Lab hosted an incredible online webinar as part of our Erasmus+ project, Bee-In! 🌺🍯 Our goal is to enrich the transfer of knowledge and technology in the fascinating world of beekeeping. 🐝🌍

Hey everyone! 🌟 On 21st of February we had the opportunity to host students from high school Kiti Larnaca. The students took a fantastic leap into the world of soft skills at the University of Cyprus as part of our Erasmus+ project “Re-Think/Re-Act”! 🤝🌍

📚 The day kicked off with an enlightening tour of the university’s magnificent library! 🏛️📖 Our minds were buzzing with curiosity as we explored the endless shelves of knowledge, feeling the academic vibes in the air! 🧠💡

But that’s not all – the highlight of the day was an engaging Teamwork Workshop led by the incredible Constantinos Tsouris! 🤝💼 His insights and expertise fueled our passion for collaboration and opened up new horizons in the world of teamwork. 🌐🤗

On 11th and 12th of December we had the second TPM for the project Food4All in Florence.

Partners had very productive conversations and made sure that everything is moving in the right direction for the development of the project.

Food4All strives to foster agricultural education among primary and secondary school students and educators, with the ultimate goal of increasing awareness regarding the needs and opportunities within the agriculture sector.

In our project Re-Think/Re-Act we developed 4 tools. One of them is YOUDO.

YOUDO is a digital resource with gamified interactive materials with a socializing component that facilitates self-knowledge by reinforcing skills related to emotional intelligence. Thanks to the game and overcoming challenges, the YOUDO user reflects and re-learns skills to face daily situations in which creativity, resilience, digital skills and other soft skills necessary for more meaningful and effective learning are required.

In our project Re-Think/Re-Act we developed 4 tools. One of them is RFS(Re-Thinking for Schools).

Educational centers find it difficult to detect shortcomings in meeting the needs of students, and limitations in their improvement strategies. Therefore, RFS is an ideal digital tool based on extensive analysis thanks to the capacity of collaborating partners, which will provide information to establish areas of self-diagnosis and lines of work for educational management teams and managers.
