Bio short

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science in the University of Cyprus since January 2021 and I was previously an Assistant Professor (Jul. 2015-Dec. 2020) and a Lecturer (Jan. 2011 - Jun. 2015). I received my Diploma in Engineering from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2005 and my PhD from the same faculty in 2009. In 2008 I also received my MsC on Technoeconomical Systems co-organized by NTUA, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of Piraeus. I have been a Research Associate at NTUA (2005-2009) working on different software development projects and on European research projects. I have also worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Technical Institute of Piraeus (2007-2009) and as a software and telecommunications engineer in the industry in Germany (IMST in 2005, LHS in 2009-2010). I am usually visiting companies and universities in the summer months (e.g. Docear and Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg OVGU and TU Delft).

  • Scholarship from the Greek National Institute of Scholarships for PhD studies.
  • Best paper award in Doctoral Symposium of MODELS 2008 conference.
  • Honors from the National Bank of Greece for the achievements in university degrees and foreign languages.
