WIDEmedNET

A Mediterranean Research and Higher Education Intranet in Medical and Biological Sciences. WIDEmedNET project was approved in the framework of the Archimed call. Participating Institutions: University of Cyprus , Department of Computer Science (UCY), Pafos General Hospital (Cyprus), University of Patras , School of Medicine , Medical Physics Laboratory (Patras, Greece), ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI (Thessaloniki, Greece), Cyrpus University of Technology, Limassol, Cyprus.

The Aim

The aim of this proposal is the pilot deployment and demonstration of a distributed pool of sharing educational resources for Medical science conforming to international standards, available for use and extension by a network of medical institutions compliant with the appropriate accreditation and intellectual property policies (constrained by the project resources and time-span). The proposed system and its creation and harvesting supporting mechanisms could serve undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing Medical Education institutions through the provision of quality material evaluated from medical experts.
