In 1999 there were two conferences organized on initiative of KRR area nodes, partly supported by the COMPULOG-NET, and about which you will find reports elsewhere in this issue of the Newsletter.
First, the Ninth Portuguese Conference on Artificial Intelligence (EPIA), University of Evora, from September 21st to September 24th 1999, with the proceedings published in the LNAI series of Springer (vol. 1695).
Second, the APPIA-GULP-PRODE'99 (AGP'99), Joint Conference on Declarative Programming, L'Aquila, 6-9 September 1999, Maria Chiara Meo and Manuel Vilares Ferro (Eds), Universita degli Studi di L'Aquila, Italy.
In this issue we include:
