Biographical Notes:
Undergraduate studies at the Higher Technical Institute (Diploma of
Technician Engineer, 1978), at the University of New Bruswick (B.Sc. in
Electrical Engineering, 1983), graduate studies at the University of Texas at
Austin (M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, 1984), University of Newcastle Upon
Tyne (M.Sc. in Neurology 1988) and at the Queen Mary College, University of
London (Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering 1992). He has worked as Research
Associate 1986-1987 and Senior Research Scientist 1990-1992 at the Cyprus
Institute of Neurology and Genetics and has taught at the Higher Technical
Institute of Cyprus (Visiting Lecturer, 1990-1992) and at the University of
Cyprus (Lecturer, 1993-1996). His research interests focus on Intelligent
Systems, Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Signal and Image Processing and
Analysis, Telematics, and their Applications in Medicine.
